Prior to her current position, Ms. Boyle served as the associate director at the same center from 2014 to 2021, where she played a pivotal role in program development and administration. Her career with the Hispanic Counseling Center began in 2007 when she joined the center as a therapist, a role in which she honed her expertise in cognitive behavioral therapy with a focus on adolescents. She then progressed to become the "Friends" Program Manager and Kinship Program Coordinator from 2010 to 2012, overseeing vital community-based programs.
Before joining the Hispanic Counseling Center, Ms. Boyle served as Counselor II at Pace Center for Girls in Wilton Manors, Florida, from 2002 to 2006. Her dedication to practicing empathy and listening to understand has been central to her success in not only this role but in all her subsequent positions. As a result of her involvement in the mental health space, Ms. Boyle holds membership with the New York Mental Health Counselors Association Inc., which complements her commitment to professional development and industry engagement.
Leading up to her professional focus, Ms. Boyle earned a master's degree in education with a specialization in mental health counseling from the University of Miami's School of Education in 1997 after immigrating from her home country of Colombia, where she first received a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of the North in 1995. The knowledge and skills acquired through these academic pursuits have been instrumental in her professional journey.
Outside of her career, Ms. Boyle is a proud mother to her college-aged daughter; serves as a board member for the 100 Hispanic Women of Long Island, which she has been involved in since 2021; and finds joy in karaoke singing, crocheting, and cooking—activities that provide balance and enrichment to her life. All in all, she remains committed to both her personal and professional growth and continuously seeks out new knowledge and avenues to support the mental well-being of her clients.
